If you're like me and use your computer for hours on end every day you will know how important it is to buy a good quality computer keyboard. Just recently I purchased the Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800 and decided to write a review on it to help other people choose a wireless keyboard that is right for them.

Before I delve into detail on some of the features the Logitech wireless illuminated keyboard K800 has I'm going to list them. The K800 has laser-lit backlighting, hand proximity detection, ergonomic keys, longer lasting battery life, a great wireless range, a multipurpose receiver and is very very simple to set up.

Laser-Lit Lighting

The Logitech wireless illuminated keyboard has adjustable laser-lit backlighting allowing you to work in the dark without any other light on; I've tested this myself and can confirm that it is easy to see each individual key when typing as each key is illuminated by the letter on the key rather than the whole key itself. This allows you to precisely tap away at keys without making mistakes.

Hand Proximity Detection

To save battery life the K800 uses hand proximity detection to turn the backlight on and off by sensing if your hands are near the keyboard, this helps by saving battery power
between charges. There is also a battery light indicator on the keyboard to help notify you when the power is running low.

Ergonomic Keys

Concave keys help position your fingers better on each key while the perfect key stroking system allows even force distribution across all keys with the added benefit of a more flowing and quiet typing experience. After using this keyboard for a month or so I can definitely see the added benefits of concave keys where I am no longer feeling the strain of typing for hours on end in my fingers.

Charging

Every once in a while you are going to need to charge up the K800 wireless keyboard, this can be done simply by plugging in the Micro-USB cable for up to 6-hours for a full charge.
If you're like me and keep your computer turned on all the time this simply involves plugging in the cable when not using my computer, an average full charge lasting up to 10 days.

Multi-purpose Receiver

The great thing about the Logitech K800 wireless receiver and other Logitech wireless devices is that you can use one receiver for multiple devices e.g. the Logitech MX Performance as long as the devices are compatible. As well as this the Logitech receivers are tiny in size, perfect for plugging into a laptop without the worry of it breaking.

Wi-Fi Range

The Logitech K800 has a great wireless range of 2.4 GHz, meaning you can use it from the comfort of your bed or sofa without any signal interference loss, or delay. This also allows you to use the keyboard to control a television with wireless capabilities and even modern day games consoles.

Simple Setup

The setup of the Logitech K800 keyboard couldn't be any easier, simply plug in the wireless receiver into your desktop or laptop pc and away you go, up and running in seconds.

I hope this product review of the Logitech Wireless Illuminated Keyboard K800 has helped you decide on purchasing a new wireless keyboard, for more computer peripheral reviews go to Computer-Peripheral-Reviews
